Indicators still give mixed signals, but local economy seems to be improving

While the local economy will continue to build on the improvements that began last year, any chance of bringing the recession to a full stop depends on the creation of more jobs, forecasters said at the 2011 Ventura County Real Estate and Economic outlook last week in Westlake Village.
Experts say employment will stabilize and perhaps even grow following four years of contraction.
