EDITORIAL

The death last week of George Floyd has again scratched raw an unhealed wound that has been felt daily by some and not at all by others. The past week of protests, the past two months of quarantine and the uncertainty about what tomorrow holds has left us all on edge.

But in our community, we see some hope.

We’ve seen that protests don’t have to end in violence. Protesters met and marched in Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley—all without incident (not counting one act of viole...
