Crash site remains belong to animal

Deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station have recovered what was thought to be human remains from a previously undiscovered plane crash west of Calabasas.

The Los Angeles County Coroner was called to the scene, and later determined the remains were not human.

A group of hikers found the wreckage early in the afternoon of March 31 north of the 101 Freeway near the Liberty Canyon Road exit.
