The Office of Campus Ministry, Black Student Union and Multicultural Programs at California Lutheran University will honor Martin Luther King and others who have promoted peace and social justice at 10:10 a.m. Wed., Jan. 25 in Samuelson Chapel at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

The free event will start with a chapel service featuring gospel and inspirational music based on the theme of starting with oneself to make a change in the world.

Students, staff members and community participants will recite the “I Have a Dream” speech given by the late civil rights leader and Nobel Peace Prize recipient.

Following the service, participants will gather at the peace pole in the chapel rose garden to affirm the university’s commitment to peace.
