HOA voting law undergoes a major change



I was told that the state Senate and state Assembly passed a bill which was signed into law by the governor, changing how members of homeowners associations will now cast their votes for candidates and how these votes will be counted.
Ballots will have to be provided to homeowner members as opposed to proxy votes in years past. Ballots will be mailed to an independent third party which will be in charge of canvassing the ballots at the association's annual meeting.
