History Day at LCMS approaches





Lindero Canyon Middle School will host its 12th annual History Day beginning 8:15 a.m. next Wed., Jan. 24.


This year’s theme is "Frontiers in History: People, Places, Ideas."


Agoura Hills and Westlake Village city officials and community members, Las Virgenes Unified School District administrators and teachers from other school districts will judge more than 400 exhibits and research papers.


The event will culminate with a Parent Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Steven Capretta Memorial Gynasium, 5844 N. Larboard Lane, Agoura Hills.


This event is open to the community free of charge.


It highlights the work of all eighth grade students through documentary/media presentations, performances and visual displays.


The event will conclude with the announcement of the names of students who will represent Lindero at the Los Angeles County History Day competition on March 17 at Occidental College.
