Healthcare centers study preparedness



Seventeen members from local skilled nursing, board and care, and in-home support services facilities completed an eight-hour course in Disaster Management provided by the Ventura County Emergency Medical Services Agency.
The course covered an introduction to basic preparedness, triage of patients, Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS), Sheltering in Place, Critical Incident Stress Management, and table-top case situations.
