Two days before her uncle’s wedding in 2010, Ashlyn Gary of Calabasas burned her face while using a curling iron.
The burn, although small, was “incredibly painful,” said Ashlyn, 17, a senior at Calabasas High School.
Ashlyn said she was fortunate because she was able to receive quality medical treatment for her injury right away, reducing the chance of scarring.
