Hands-on history in Calabasas

The Leonis Adobe Museum will present “Hands-on History Day” from 1 to 4 p.m. Sat., March 19 at the museum, 23537 Calabasas Road, Calabasas.
The event will show what life was like on a working ranch in the 1880s. Children can try tortilla making, butter churning, roping and doing laundry by hand.
Families can watch demonstrations of cooking in a clay oven, weaving, spinning, quilting, wool dying, clothes making and blacksmithing.
