PINK SLIP—School cafeteria workers are among those being laid off.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced schools to adapt to a world where crowds are a risk, and while the Las Virgenes and Oak Park school districts are still determining what the next school year will look like, one thing is certain: Fewer students on campus will mean fewer support staff needed to take care of them.
