Dance company is ‘one to watch’

Company Bodytraffic will perform at the Fred Kavli Theatre at 8 p.m. Fri., March 8 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Founded in 2007 by dancers Lillian Rose Barbeito and Tina Finkelman Berkett, Bodytraffic’s eight-member ensemble was named one of “25 to Watch” by Dance magazine, “ Best of Culture” by the Los Angeles Times and “the company of the future” by the Joyce Theater Foundation.

Bodytraffic offers contemporary dance for new audiences and longtime dance aficionados.

The T.O. program will include “And at Midnight, the Green Bride Floated Through the Village Square” by Barak Marshall, “Fragile Dwellings” by Stijn Celis and “o2Joy” by Richard Siegal.
