Goodbye to beloved resident

FRIENDS NO MORE- Max, left, a 27-year-old Percheron horse who lived at the Leonis Adobe Museum, spends a quiet moment with corral mate Rocky. Max died recently in his sleep under his favorite oak tree. Rocky, who died in January, and Max lived at the museum for the last 12 years. Two younger resident horses, Merlin and Morgan, also Percherons, are being readied to become the museum's new equine representatives.
