Golfers will give it their best shot

Golfers can swing into action during the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley’s ninth annual Golf Classic from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon., June 11 at the Moorpark Country Club, 11800 Championship Drive.

The event will include breakfast, contests, lunch, hosted cocktail reception and dinner, live auction, opportunity drawings and an awards presentation.

New this year is a Golf School for those who are new to golf or who want to improve their game.

Golf School will include: a swing, chipping and putting clinic; lessons provided by Moorpark Country Club PGA golf professionals; a Q&A session with the country club’s pros; and an awards ceremony.

All proceeds will help provide before- and after-school programs for local children and enrichment in education, the arts, health, sports, technology and leadership.
