Beloved wife and mother Gloria Stewart, 82, died September 19, 2020 in Thousand Oaks. Gloria was born in April, 1938 to parents Maria and Avel Silverman in Scarsdale, New York. She attended Douglass College in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she met her future husband of 62 years, William, who survives her. She worked at Princeton University as a research associate in psychology before leaving to be a full-time mother to children Allison, Gordon and Dale, who also survive her. After nearly thirty years in Pennington, New Jersey, Gloria and her family moved to Thousand Oaks, where she spent many happy years as a selfless parent and wife. She enjoyed spending time with her many pets, reading, flying in her husband’s plane and baking cookies for just about everyone she knew. She was a devoted patriot who spent many untold hours in service to her country. She had a wonderful, sharp-witted sense of humor and never forgot a birthday. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister and brother, David and Abby. She is survived by her grieving husband and children, her daughter-in-law Lesley and her grandchildren, Charlotte and Laura.
