Girl Scouts Las Virgenes Service Unit 606 held its second annual Friendsgiving Potluck and Operation Gratitude event Nov. 6 at Willow Elementary School in Agoura Hills.

This year, over 180 Girl Scouts from Calabasas, Agoura Hills and Westlake Village plus parents and leaders participated. The girls sang scouting songs, ate Thanksgiving potluck and prepared for donation over 100 care packages and cards in support of American troops and veterans for Operation Gratitude.

The service unit will join Cub Scout Pack 227 in the inaugural Scouting for Food Event on Sat., Nov. 16 in Agoura Hills.

All the Scouts will collect food for Conejo Valley Manna from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Agoura Meadows Shopping Center, between Cronies and Chase Bank, as well as in front of Vons and Ralphs,

The service unit comprises over 300 Girl Scouts from Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and Calabasas.

Pack 227 comprises over 50 families in Agoura Hills and Oak Park.
