Get a bird’s eye view of raptors




 

 

The Ojai Raptor Center will open its doors to the public for a rare opportunity to meet nonreleasable raptors and tour the center from noon to 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 25 at 370 Baldwin Road.

Hawks, falcons and owls will be on hand to greet guests. There will be ongoing stage presentations, kids’ activities, a silent auction and a chance to release a raptor with ORC staff.

Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

ORC is home to the largest flight aviary in the state. The center is closed to the public yearround due to the sensitive nature of the wildlife in rehabilitation.

The center is a nonprofit organization that rehabilitates and releases of birds of prey and other wildlife and also provides educational programs.

Admission is a suggested donation of $5. This is a dog-free event. Handicapped parking will be available.

Additional parking will be available one mile from the center with a shuttle running every 10 minutes.
