I have driven past the Lindero Canyon overpass in Westlake Village several times in the last few days, and I see the trees that have been selected to replace the 40- and 50-foot trees that used to grow there.
When John Knipe, public works director, suggested to the council that it would be cheaper to cut down the old trees than to preserve them, he said large trees would be planted to replace them. He referred to the size of the boxes that hold the replacement trees.
