Freeway closed

The 101 Freeway in Calabasas was shut down this week as work intensified on the Lost Hills interchange improvement, Caltrans said.

The closures were necessary to place girders for a new bridge structure. The $24-million project involves replacing the Lost Hills Road bridge, providing improvements to the US-101 on/off ramp and enhancing safety for pedestrians.

The partial closures began at 10 p.m. Monday and continued with full freeway closures at midnight on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and again today. All lanes will reopen tomorrow at 6 a.m., Fri., May 5.

A detour took drivers onto Agoura Road between Liberty Canyon and Las Virgenes roads.
