Temple Beth Haverim will present the following free lectures during March and April:


At 7 p.m. on March 6, Rabbi Hanoch Teller, an award-winning orator and educator will speak on "Miracles in Our Own Time." A best-selling author of more than 20 books, he is credited with creating a new genre of Jewish literature called "Soul Stories," true contemporary stories "that are a tribute to human benevolence."


At 8 p.m. on March 12, Abraham Wagner, Ph.D., will speak on "Foreign Policy, Terrorism and Technology: The Aftermath of Sept. 11." An author of books dealing with warfare in the Middle East, Wagner has held various positions in the national security arena and currently serves as a consultant to the Department of Defense.


The above lectures will be presented at Temple Beth Haverim, 5126 Clareton Drive, Ste. 140, Agoura Hills. The following lecture will be presented at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, as part of Temple Beth Haverim’s Herman Wartik Memorial Lecture Series:


At 7:30 p.m. on April 15, Professor Steven Spiegel, chairman of the University of California’s Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation, will speak. He studies international relations with a focus on the Middle East. He writes extensively on world politics, especially about the relationship between Israel, the Arab nations and the U.S.
