The Conejo Jewish Academy will offer a six-part course on basic Judaism, “Living Judaism.”
The course will take place at 8 p.m. six consecutive Wednesdays beginning Jan. 17 at the Center for Jewish Life, 30347 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.
The academy’s introductory course covers the “what, how and why” of Jewish life and living, and is intended to give its students an appreciation and basic knowledge of some of the fundamentals of Judaism.
Topics include Bible and the Chosen People; Mitzvot: The Building Block of a Jewish Home; Shabbat; Holiday and Holy Days; Kosher: A Diet for the Soul, and Jewish Lifecycles: From Baby Naming to Chupah.
Four Chabad rabbis—Moshe Bryski, Yitzchak Sapochkinsky, Yisroel Levine and Shlomo Bistritzky— are the instructors.
The class is free and open to the community. Reservations are requested.
