The Conejo Free Clinic in Thousand Oaks has expanded the weekly schedule for its 41-year Legal Clinic program, including new areas of the law for people needing advice and guidance.
Free of charge, the nonprofit program provides over 50 legal clinics annually for low-income people in family, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant, trusts and estates and criminal law. New services were recently launched in civil and employment law.
Private practice attorneys give their personal time and professional expertise to help guide individuals with suggestions and information for resolving legal matters.
The Conejo Free Clinic volunteer attorney team cannot represent clients in court except through limited new services that secure restraining orders in select situations.
The Legal Clinic attorney volunteers come from private practice law firms and are members of the Ventura County Bar Association.
Legal Clinics are held on most Tuesday evenings, with clients served in order of arrival.
For the weekly schedule or more information, call (805) 497- 3575 or visit conejofreeclinic.org.
Attorneys interested in joining the legal clinic team in their area of law can contact Karen Oakman, Dion Law Group.
