Fish kill hits Lake Lindero again

Shallow water, low oxygen levels and a record summer heat wave have conspired once again to give Lake Lindero in Agoura Hills a large and putrid fish kill.

As algae blooms and chokes off the oxygen supply to the lake's carp and catfish, the summer kills are a common occurrence at the 14-acre lake. The recent heat blast has made problems worse. Thousands of mostly carp fish could be seen floating on the lake's surface this week.
