Nerves jangled as Wendy blaze erupts

National Park Service officials are investigating the cause of the brush fire that scorched just over 80 acres of Newbury Park open space.

As of Mon., Oct. 14, bulldozer tracks marked the perimeter of the blaze, which started around 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 in the open space area in the hills south of western Newbury Park known as Satwiwa.
