Favoring Lowe’s

As a homeowner in Agoura Hills, I’d like to voice my support for the Town Center at Westlake Village that will include a Lowe’s home improvement store.

As I understand it, the land is going to be developed, period. While we all would love another park, that doesn’t seem to be an option. A town center will bring landscaped open space and some great restaurants, while the other choice, an office building, will bring heavy traffic during peak hours.

The idea of being able to go down the road to a nice restaurant and the prospect of check out the new Lamborghinis—well, they both make my mouth water. Quality restaurants are few and far between in the Conejo Valley. The only caveat? I’d lose the excuse that I can’t fix the plumbing because the drive to the closest home improvement store is too much of a hassle.

Bottom line: I choose a town center that I can enjoy with the family and friends, one that will maintain the look and feel of my community. I encourage my neighbors to become informed and decide for themselves.

The thought of two four-story, 370,000-square-foot office buildings makes me lose my appetite entirely. Alan Jacobs Agoura Hills
