Farmers markets stay active in winter

The Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association is kicking off the season with winter crops, fresh from the field. The markets are filled with winter selections, including Brussels sprouts, head lettuces, a large variety of carrots and a new crop of strawberries.
