Farewell to Stage Door Theatre

In this, my first letter to The Acorn editor, I’d like to pay tribute to an Agoura Hills institution, Stage Door Theatre. I feel almost like there’s a death in the family. Who can forget the dramas and comedies Gale and Mike Monteleone put together on that tiny stage. Each time, I marveled at the set decoration with my friend, Sally Schneider, and we counted the doors on stage. A play’s effectiveness has a great deal to do with entrances and exits, after all.

I can’t imagine not having Stage Door plays to attend, but at least I’ll have my memories.
