The Arts Council of Conejo Valley will present Face to Face, an art exhibit featuring portraits of people, through Oct. 15 at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.
The exhibit has over 100 pieces and is at the Galleria. Viewing hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at no charge.
A public reception to honor the 10 professional artists in the show will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 15.
The exhibit features paintings in oil, acrylic and pastel as well as drawings, and photography.
Artists’ viewpoints include classical interpretation of figures, oversize canvases with groups of people and digitized photography.
The exhibit was co-curated by John Johnson of Camarillo and Connie Tunick of Thousand Oaks.
The artists in the invitational exhibit are: Arezoo Bayat (Culver City), Howard Ehrlich (Woodland Hills), Dennis Griffin (Camarillo), Laura Krusemark (Mt. Shasta), Karen K. Lewis (Ojai), Mariana Peirano (Ojai), Yona Rapoport (Tarzana), Kuniko Ruch (Tarzana), Andrea Stanley (Hidden Hills) and Daggi Wallace (Thousand Oaks).
