Expo shines light on crime-fighting




HEADS UP—Concerned residents learn how to prevent home burglaries and other crimes of opportunity.
Burglars and computer hackers try to use technology to their advantage, but technology and other tools can also help residents fight back, said Matt Slatoff, a public safety commissioner for the City of Calabasas during a crime prevention expo hosted earlier this month by the city and security professionals.
About 100 people attended the event May 10 to learn how they can protect themselves.
