The Exer Urgent Care Sports and Schools Program was created recently to provide high schools with complimentary sports screening exams and EKGs as interscholastic youth sports resume after a full year of inactivity due to the pandemic.
Medical teams from Exer Urgent Care will give the physicals over multiple days, as opposed to hosting a one-day event, following health and safety protocols, the company says.
Sports screening exams and EKGs are complimentary. Registration is open for schools.
Exer also provides COVID-19 testing with next-day results for high school student-athletes who need COVID-19 test results before practices and games each week.
Exer operates 20 Southern California locations. Each Exer clinic is staffed by ER doctors and medical professionals, providing medical care at a fraction of the cost of an emergency room. Services include on-site X-ray, IV, laceration and diagnostics.
Exer also offers an online telehealth platform, VirtualCare by Exer, which gives patients real-time access to a medical provider via video chat.
Each Exer Urgent Care site offers flu shots and COVID-19 testing with next-day results.
Additionally, Exer’s patient portal service allows access to test results as well as discharge and other health information to those who register.
Exer is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with the last patient registered at 8:30 p.m.
The urgent care accepts most Medicare, PPO and HMO insurance, and offers affordable payment options for those with minimal or no health insurance.
Registration for the Exer Sports and Schools Program is open. For more information or to register a school, go to ExerUrgentCare.com/exer-sports-schools.
