Environmental impact report for fighting mountain fires
will be reviewed
Woody Smeck, superintendent of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area has announced that an environmental report identifying and evaluating four alternatives for managing fire in the mountains has been completed.
Public outreach for the report began in June 2001 with a planning workshop.
Smeck announced that four public meetings are scheduled for August at which the public can comment on the report....
