Encouragement for seniors grieving a loss

Senior Concerns has partnered with Hospice of the Conejo to present a free weekly grief support group for seniors who need help to recover from the loss of a spouse or significant other. This group will meet from 4 to 5 p.m. starting Tues., July 14 at Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.

The Caring Companions Grief Support Group is in addition to the four support groups that are offered by Hospice of the Conejo at the Goebel Adult Community Center in Thousand Oaks.

The new group will not only guide seniors through the grief process, but also create a positive and supportive foundation from which they can heal and move forward with their lives.

Hospice of the Conejo therapist Laura Ayala Clark will lead the group sessions. She has over 25 years of experience as a family therapist.

For reservations, call Senior Concerns at (805) 497-0189 or Hospice of the Conejo at (805) 495-2145.
