A one-day seminar for employers focusing on employment law and management topics will be offered at 7 a.m., Tues., May 15 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.


The seminar, "2001: A Business Odyssey; Meeting the Business Needs of Today and Tomorrow," is being sponsored by the California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC) in partnership with the State Employment Development Department. CEAC is the statewide umbrella organization comprised of representatives from 50 local Employer Advisory Councils.


The educational program will feature speakers covering economic and business trends, labor law, UI appeal hearings, negotiation skills and a survival guide for management, with the objective of increasing productivity and participation.


The cost is $125 and includes exhibits, presentations, materials, breakfast, luncheon and refreshments.
