Elusive 21st out dooms Lions



The Lions were one out away from a trip to Dodger Stadium.
It was an out that would never come.
Oaks Christian’s baseball team dropped a 2-1 heartbreaker in the CIF-Southern Section Division 4 semifinals Tuesday at Palm Desert High.
Trailing 1-0 and down to its final out in the bottom of the seventh inning, top-seeded Palm Desert finally got to Lions’ ace pitcher Travis Radke.
