Edward Jones recognized

Edward Jones, the only major financial services firm advising individual investors exclusively, was recently ranked No. 1 by Fortune magazine in its annual survey of the "Best Companies to Work For" in the U.S.

The Fortune 100 Best ranking is employee-driven, with two-thirds of the scoring based upon how randomly-selected employees respond to an anonymous survey designed to measure the quality of workplace culture. The remainder of the score is based on an in-depth analysis of company culture and human resources practices.

"Clearly, I am excited by this No. 1 ranking," said Jack Dvir of Agoura Hills, one of five Conejo Valley representatives of the Conejo Valley financial services firm Edward Jones. "I believe the climate within our firm has a ripple effect on our clients and on the communities we serve. The firm values its associates and treats them with respect. This is a great place to work and having Fortune magazine recognize our efforts is icing on the cake."

The four other investment representatives are Maria Pisa, Calabasas; and Chris Hardt, Peyton Glover and Erica Phillips, Westlake Village.

The magazine noted that despite difficult economic times, the firm had no layoffs. The survey reported that 97 percent of Edward Jones employees praise management’s honesty.
