Eck leaves for Oakland



Arthur Eck, who has served as superintendent of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreational Area (SMMNRA) since 1995, has been appointed the new deputy regional director for the Pacific West Region of the National Park Service.
The Pacific West Region is one of seven geographic hubs for oversight of national park operations. Located in Oakland, it has management responsibility for national park areas in Idaho and Nevada, the West Coast, Hawaii and the outer Pacific.
