I want to thank Eagle Scout Rocky Caruso of BSA Troop 127 for his truly wonderful gifts of Community Share Libraries here in Oak Park.
Each one of the handmade structures is charming and beautifully crafted.
I know that a lot of time, effort and expertise must have gone into the making of them.
I’m always delighted when I stop by my local one on Conifer Street and see that books I’ve donated are being used and enjoyed.
In turn, I have borrowed and read books by authors I probably never would have encountered otherwise, and loved them. And so have my neighbors. What a pleasure.
Many thanks again, Rocky, for these wonderful additions to our neighborhood. And thanks also to your Scoutmaster, who I’m sure played a big role in the process.
