Los Angeles County Malibu/ Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station will conduct a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location within Agoura Hills from 6 p.m. Sat., June 11 through 2 a.m. Sunday.
A similar checkpoint is set for Malibu starting 6 p.m. Fri., June 10.
The checkpoint is designed to stop drivers who are alcohol impaired. Also, drivers will be checked to ensure that they have a valid driver’s license.
A DUI arrest can cost upwards of $10,000 for time in jail and the loss of a driver’s license.
Funding for the operation is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
