A driver ran his car into the Agoura Hills city hall building and caused nearly $30,000 in damage, officials said.
“On Tues., Jan. 17, an individual lost control of his vehicle and drove it into the southwest corner of the building, breaking windows, damaging exterior window frames and the exterior wall,” City Manager Greg Ramirez stated in a written report to the city council.
Although there were no injuries to the driver or city staff, Ramirez estimates the damage will cost between $25,000 and $30,000 to repair.
“The impact from the automobile damaged the interior office wall, knocked over and damaged a file cabinet, and sprayed broken glass throughout the office,” Ramirez said.
The Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station was contacted and a police report was filed.
