Disgruntled school taxpayer

With close to 50 percent of the students being out of district and a school board trying to lure and retain more out-of-district kids, one might wonder where our community schools have gone.

One neighbor’s kid had a play date with his schoolmate but had to travel to Simi Valley to be with his new out-of-district friend.

Oak Hills Elementary has a “Neighborhood School” sign in front that needs to come down. It’s no longer just a neighborhood school.

The school district continues to pump out propaganda as to how all of us Oak Park homeowners benefit from the onslaught from out-of-district students.

Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.

These schools were built in neighborhoods for neighborhoods. The schools can’t accommodate the volume of traffic. Have you noticed how easy it is to travel in the morning and afternoon around Oak Park during the summer?

Now the district wants the Oak Park homeowners to foot the bill for another 40 years so they can continue to ruin the community environment we once had here in Oak Park. The out-of-district families are exempt from these taxes.

You will be able to make a difference in November. Please help stop the madness.
