Tips help calm jangled nerves

“Citizens are the eyes and ears of the department,” said Robert DeSantis, a deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department during a recent crime prevention talk before the Westlake Joint Board meeting in North Ranch.
The board serves more than 40 homeowners associations in Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village.
