Deputies investigate possible robbery in Westlake Village

A Westlake Village man in his 50s was injured yesterday afternoon when two males, possibly teenagers, broke into his Three Springs home on the 32000 block of Carrie Place and attempted to rob the victim with a pellet gun. The victim was shot in the buttocks with a pellet, but his injuries weren’t severe, sources said.

Deputies and paramedics arrived on the scene when the victim called 911 after the suspects fled his home.

"We still don’t know if it’s a crime, yet," said Sgt. K. Scheurn of Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

At one point the search involved squad cars and a helicopter, according to sources. A search for the two suspects and the investigation, Scheurn said, were still in progress. No further information was available when The Acorn was sent to the printer late yesterday afternoon.
