Day of reckoning

From the first day of this election process, I began praying that the Lord would make it very clear to us who his choice for our country would be since he knows the hearts of all (Acts 1:24).

I am an independent and I had been taken by Obama’s rhetorical genius and presidential demeanor. Since then I have seen our country and the world go into decline in every way possible. I watched him go golfing while heads of Americans were being chopped off. I watched his administration turn their backs on 600 requests for more security from our Secretary of State in the Middle East so that four Americans died under his watch.

I saw him shun Netanyahu, our greatest ally, when he came to plead against the terrible Iranian deal, gave billions to mass murderers to continue and pay for their barbaric atrocities while they chant, “Death to America and Israel,” and ignored all reason and sensibility and the voice of the people of this republic. I have deeply regretted voting for him. But the final straw for me was when James Comey and Loretta Lynch gave Hillary Clinton a complete pass after clearly declaring her guilt and culpability under the laws of our land. And now there are citizens who are willing to give her top secret security accountability and a continuation of the feckless Obama administration while we are obviously in a war with an ideology bent on destroying our nation, which has metastasized under their watch.

Knowing all of this and much more, I began praying fervently that the god who created our beautiful country could intervene and stretch out his hand on the man of his choice who would lead with strength and heart.

So I say, blow the trumpet in Zion, because I believe God wants to bring this country back under his wings and save us from total destruction.
