For those of us who live in the Santa Monica Mountains of rural Agoura, it was the threat of wildfire that had posed danger during the drought years.
Suddenly that threat was replaced by the arrival of a hyper-abundance of the precipitation we’d all been longing for.
Dame Nature is not required to be a cooperative and helpful ally to humankind. I don’t resent her for being ruthless and brutal. I cower at her might, even as I am awed by it.
