Prosecutors say engine cut off


OUT ON BOND—As a condition of her bail, Rebecca Grossman is not allowed to drive a car.

According to a statement provided by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, the woman charged with running over and killing two Westlake Village pedestrians Sept. 29 did not pull over willingly following the collision, but instead came to a stop a quarter-mile away only when the engine in her Mercedes-Benz quit working.
