Cyclist run-in

To the elderly cyclist riding on Triunfo last Saturday who indicated that as a runner I do not have a right to use the road and belong on the sidewalk, I encourage you to learn the right of way law before getting on your bicycle again.

Not only do pedestrians have a right to use the roadway, but cyclists, as well as autos, are required to yield to them.

The next runner you meet on the road may not yield their right of way, as I did to you with a friendly good morning.

Autos, cyclists and runners all need to share the road.
