Creative Options Day coming soon





The Thousand Oaks branch of American Association of University Women, in conjunction with the Women’s Resource Center at California Lutheran University (CLU) will present the 23rd annual "Creative Options: A Day for Women," a daylong event on Sat., March 2 on the CLU campus, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.


The event provides educational experiences for women through workshops and presentations. Seventy-five workshops are being offered on subjects ranging from financial planning and technology to dream interpretation and organic gardening.


Keynote speaker is Loung Ung, author of "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia." She is a survivor of the Cambodian genocide during the 1970s and is a national spokesperson for the Campaign for a Landmine Free World, a program of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation.


The cost is $30; $10 for students; $20 for seniors ages 62 or older. All proceeds go into the Creative Options Endowed Scholarship Fund for Reentry Women. For more information, please call the CLU Women’s Resource Center at (805) 493-3345.
