COVID-19 testing ramps up in Ventura County

 While some of California’s largest cities indicated recently that they would be cutting back on COVID-19 testing and focusing strictly on social distancing and patient care, local health authorities said that will not be the case in Ventura County.
Instead, the county is ramping up testing capabilities from about 45 to 65 tests a day in the early days of the crisis to about 100 a day now, County CEO Mike Powers told the Ventura County Board of Supervisors at an emergency meeting March 24. ...
