County halts cell tower construction




 
Responding to the concerns of citizens and firefighters, Los Angeles County Supervisors halted the construction of a series of cell towers that were being erected at fire stations throughout the region.
The cell facilities are part of a new wireless public-safety radio and broadband network operated by the Los Angeles Regional Interoperable Communications System Authority (LA-RICS.)
