Regarding Agoura Hills and the Cornerstone Project, let’s remember who the City Council answers to—taxpayers in the City of Agoura Hills.
It would be nice if Oak Park, Westlake Village, Calabasas and Malibou Lake joined residents of Agoura Hills in opposing this ill-advised development.
But the only people the City Council will possibly listen to are those who can vote for them.
So even though they will be adversely affected by this development, anyone in the abovementioned cities and in unincorporated Agoura—and you know who you are because you vote for L.A. County Supervisors instead of Agoura Hills City Council— your voice does not matter to this city’s council.
You need to rally the rest of us, those of us who have to drive Kanan every day from the north. Those of us who don’t do any shopping in Agoura Hills south of the freeway due to traffic.
Those of us who’d rather get on the freeway to visit beaches via other cities instead of driving Kanan because the 20-minute drive to the beach turns into a 60-minute drive home or longer during the summer, seven days a week until at least 6 p.m.
These are the only people who stand a chance of being heard from our City Council, now and on Election Day.
