Conejo Valley Days needs vendors, cars

Applications are available for car entries and vendors for the 51st annual Conejo Valley Days Kickoff Picnic and Classic Car Show, Sat., April 21 at the Mary and Richard Carpenter Plaza, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The picnic hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The rain date is April 28.

This is the 18th year the Conejo Valley Rotary Club has sponsored the event.

“We’ve moved the picnic date closer to the fiveday Conejo Valley Days festival so all CVD activities take place within a twoweek period,” said Vern Miller, CVD Kickoff Picnic and Classic Car Show co-chair.

Vendors, artisans, nonprofit organizations and service and product companies can display and sell their wares at the picnic.

Available spaces measure 12by-12 and 12-by-24 feet. The Elks and Kiwanis barbecue wagons will serve lunch and classic cars will be on display.

There will be a drawing for a 2007 Lexus IS250 at the picnic. Tickets are available from the Conejo Valley Rotary and other local Rotary clubs. One thousand tickets will be sold for $100 each. Proceeds from the drawing will go to the Westminster Free Clinic, which provides medical care for the uninsured homeless and working poor in the community.

Vendor applications are available by calling Vern Miller at (805) 492-5779, writing to the Conejo Valley Rotary Club, P.O. Box 1527, Thousand Oaks, CA, 91358, or calling the Conejo Valley Days office, (805) 371-8730 or e-mail cvddays@verizon.net.
